Students are personally invited by LACOE to the annual banquet where they are provided lunch and participate in a very elaborate awards ceremony. Students medals are given for each event in the decathlon and our overall team ranking in the region is given at the banquet. As part of the decathlon, each student learns a little bit about their strengths and weaknesses. Also, the experience gives them exposure to themes and topics that go beyond what they typically experience in the classroom.
