Healthy Schools Act & IPM

The Healthy Schools Act and the District’s Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program are designed to support safe, effective, and environmentally responsible pest control practices at school sites. Through IPM, the district emphasizes prevention, monitoring, and the least-toxic treatment methods whenever possible, while complying with Healthy Schools Act requirements for notification, record-keeping, and the use of approved pesticides.

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) provide important information about the chemicals and products used throughout the district, including safe handling, storage, first aid, and spill response procedures. To ensure staff have current and convenient access, the district maintains SDS information through an online portal, where documents can be viewed at any time by employees who use or work around these materials.
