2025 Graduation Information & Livestream Links
Dear Centinela Valley Families,
As we approach graduation, a time of celebration and accomplishment for our students and families, we recognize that recent reports of immigration enforcement activity in the region have caused concern for some members of our community. We want to clearly communicate what to expect at our upcoming graduation ceremonies and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the safety, dignity, and inclusion of every student and family.
We understand that some students or families may feel uneasy about attending graduation in person. To ensure that all families can participate in this important milestone, we will be livestreaming all graduation ceremonies. Livestream links are posted below.
For those attending in person, please know the following safety measures will be in place:
-
CVUHSD Safety Officers and/or School Resource Officer partners will be stationed at all parking lot entrances and event entry points.
-
Should Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents attempt to enter a graduation venue, they will be asked to provide a valid warrant. If they do not produce one, they will be asked to leave.
-
If agents refuse to leave, the District will make a general announcement over the public address system to inform attendees of their presence.
-
Please note: CVUHSD cannot physically prevent a federal agent from entering school property but will respond in accordance with the law and in support of our families.
-
A senior district official and a representative from the District’s legal counsel will be on site at each graduation ceremony to provide support as needed.
We also encourage families to be informed and know their rights. The following resources provide helpful guidance and support:

Centinela Valley Union High School District remains committed to creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming environments for all students and families, regardless of immigration status. Graduation is a moment to celebrate our students’ achievements—and we will do everything we can to ensure it is also a time of support, respect, and community.
With care and solidarity,
Dr. Stephen Nellman
